Yes, we swim most days but we would advise you not to drink the lake water. We know that sadly the lake is currently in the news for the wrong reasons, so keep an eye on latest developments.

Unfortunately no. But we do sell amazing home made ice cream and have an on site tuck shop.

Yes. You will hopefully see some Grouse, Rabbits, Ducks, Squirrels, Swans, perhaps a Peacock and if you’re lucky a couple of Deers.
Our favourite pubs “The Masons Arms” and “The Farmer’s Arms” are a 20 minute drive away.
Yes. Most supermarkets will deliver to the cottage but there are no local take away deliveries.
Bring clothes for all seasons.
Yes absolutely. We have a wood fired barrel sauna and a large hot tub that is available on request. Facial massages for women are also available as well as art classes for adults and children. Please contact us for more info.
Bowness is the nearest town (15 min drive) but you can walk to our friends over the road and up the hill at Park Cliffe camp site who have a small shop. Please see their opening hours online.
